ABOUT ME

Established in 2016, I started the brand Fabrics By The Captain's Daughter as a result of a need for premium quality fabrics. While attending fashion school in lagos, Nigeria, I had a sewing assignment, and found myself struggling to find locally available fabrics that met the standard I needed to make an Haute Couture piece. I went to the fabric shops and the quality I wanted simply did not exist. As a result, I had to search for other options.

I landed in Dubai and that jouney changed everything. In Dubai, I discovered premium designer fabrics that were rich in texture, very uncommon colors and crafted to elevate any custom-made piece produced with it. That moment gave me an idea to source premium luxury fabrics for people who wanted same quality but did not want to travel overseas for it.

For over ten years, I have sourced and sold luxury fabrics from all the major brand houses around the world to clients with discerning taste.

Through years of travel and buying, I have developed an eye for authentic fabrics, eclectic designs which I would be sharing in this space.

This isn't just a place to browse fabrics but also an educational space where you can learn how to identify quality fabrics, make confident purchasing decisions and have fun while at it.
